Service Description

Join the Valley Fab Lab trainers for a step-by-step guide for making art in Inkscape and using the Roland Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printer. This event features two separate classes: using Inkscape to make vector art and printing onto material with the easy to use Roland Design Software. You can use this machine to digitally print onto any fabric with at least 50% cotton. Work with T-shirts, clothes, apparel and accessories to create amazing small-batch designs. The print area for the DTG printer is 11.5 x 8.0 inches with a print resolution up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. The machine can produce one finished item in approximately 4-5 minutes. If you have not used the Inkscape program, the morning class is required. If you have already learned how to use it in another class, your attendance is optional, but it is always good to experiment with advanced functions with a VFL trainer for help. The clearance class will be 60-90 minutes where you will get hands-on experience using the machine with the guidance of a trainer. Class Benefits ● Clearance to use the DTG printer independently ● Design skills in Inkscape and Rolland Design Software ● Take home your own custom t-shirt ● Meet other makers of diverse backgrounds ● Gain insight to the applications of other VFL machines Materials ● Cotton t-shirt ● Laptops and software are provided For More Information ● https://www.rolanddgn.com/products/printers/versastudio-bt-12-direct-to-garment-printer
